Hunter Oaks Farm is pleased to offer riding instruction for the beginner as well as more advanced riders. All lessons include education on care of horse and tack, stable etiquette, show preparation and course work. Hunter Oaks instructors will work with you and your mount, or you may ride one of our lesson horses.

Lessons are available in Dressage, Cross-country, Stadium Jumping and Western disciplines / beginner through advanced. Whether you are competition focused or just want to enhance your pleasure riding, Hunter Oaks will provide you with correct training and proper horsemanship.
Beginners: Get the right start!
Competitors: Take your riding to the next level!
Eventers: Our xc courses are open for schooling by appointment May - November $45.

Horses also accepted for training.

Michelle Mercier has participated very successfully in recognized equestrian competition for the past 13 years. Many years were spent with Chicago area professionals Ken & Erin Dierks who remain great friends and mentors today! Michelle has won numerous awards from the United States Eventing Association at the regional level & placed on national leaderboards. Hunter Oaks Farm is located on 150 scenic acres in the Mackinaw River Valley. This 45 stall facility has several new and updated stalls as well as many stalls with paddocks and windows.

Horses are fed 3x daily, with stalls cleaned daily. Horses receive turn-out on a pasture rotation.

Amenities include a large indoor arena and viewing room and a large outdoor arena with sand/rubber footing. Hunter Oaks Farm also boasts cross-country courses with Beginner Novice through Preliminary Level questions.

The courses traverse the rolling hills of the Mackinaw River Valley and include water, ditches and banks. Riding trails are also available through the timber.
